Location
- Four Acre Zen Center is located at 1718 S. 3rd Avenue, Sequim, WA 98382
Parking
- There is limited parking on the property. There is plenty of street parking available on 3rd Avenue and surrounding streets.
Transport
- Please inform the Guestmaster before you arrive if you do not have your own transport to and from the property. Since there are many who will have access to transport, we may be able to arrange a ride for you.
Schedule
- A weekly schedule of activities will be published starting on June 11. Updates to the schedule will be emailed to all participants in The Summer of Sangha
- There will be a formal schedule of groups, meditation and guidance with Cheri.
- All practice activities will happen between 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. unless groups/meditation have been scheduled outside of these hours.
- In addition, there will be self-guided practice options at the Center.
- You may also sign up for working meditation if we happen to be doing a project on the property during your stay. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the message board in the Mash Tent.
- Outside of the formal schedule, you are invited to be on the property to enjoy the silence and practice self-guided walking and sitting meditation, R/L or any other practice activity of your choice.
Privileged Environment
- We will practice in the privileged environment which means that we will maintain the silence and practice custody of the eyes and custody of the attention.
- The message board in the Mash Tent will be used for communication while you are on the property.
- You are welcome to make GasshÅ and address a question to Ashwini, Cheri or Jen while you are on the property.
Food
- There is no formal kitchen on the property.
- You are welcome to bring lunch/snack if you plan to be on the property for the day.
- Downtown Sequim has grocery stores and restaurants to get food/snacks.
- We have a refrigerator and a microwave to store and heat food, respectively.
- Tea/coffee can be made in the FAZC kitchen.
- Filtered water is available on the property.
- If you have access to a kitchen and wish to make food for visiting Sangha, please post a note to the Guestmaster.
Meditation
- All meditation supplies will be made available.
Working Meditation
- If you are signing up for working meditation, please have work clothes that can get dirty/muddy. Please bring good shoes, a hat, sunscreen, gloves and a water bottle.
- Changing facilities are available.
Guidance
- Please bring a recorder to your Guidance appointment.
